Dr. Coman is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons medical school.

He completed his residency and chief residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center/Jack D. Weiler Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his subspecialty training in gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Coman has served as the medical director of The Advanced Surgery Center of Long Island since it opened in 2014. His interests include colorectal neoplasia screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
